My interest in Italian wine began about thirty-five years ago which coincidentally was when I married my Italian wife…

During those three decades, I have travelled the length and breadth of this utterly amazing country visiting vineyards, tasting, learning and immersing my whole being into understanding the wines put before me.

It was about ten years ago that my opinion was sought out at tastings and wine gatherings, by vintners and auction houses and even in some wineries. Whilst flattered, I had always considered my opinions to be those of a enthusiastic devotee.

Since then, I have been convinced by friends in the wine industry to share my findings, thoughts and suggestions to a wider audience.
